Comments on Petition for Rulemaking (REG 2020-02) Seeking to Close the Bloomberg Loophole on Transfers to National Political Party Committees
Today, Citizens United and Citizens United Foundation filed comments with the Federal Election Commission urging the Commission to revise its regulations governing transfers of funds from federal candidates to national political party committees in order to close the loophole exploited by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to funnel $18 million of his personal funds from his presidential campaign account to the Democratic National Committee.
